Findel lies about six kilometres east of the city, on the territory of Niederanven, at an elevation of 1,234 ft. Its single runway 06/24 is 4,002 metres long, enough for every business aircraft category, from turboprop to ultra long range, with no take-off weight restriction.
- A runway shared with freight. Findel is Europe's fifth-largest cargo airport, with 830,468 tonnes handled in 2024, and the home base of Cargolux and Luxair. With no parallel runway, a closure stops all traffic with no fallback on site: we plan an alternate airport on every booking.
- Operating hours worth knowing. According to the AIP, the airport is closed from 23:00 to 06:00 local time, and the curfew applies to business aviation too. A one-off extension can be requested from the Air Navigation Administration, with no guarantee: we apply for it before proposing a late departure. The periods around 06:00 and 23:00 are also the busiest for freighters.
- A dedicated business aviation terminal, separate from the passenger and cargo buildings, with direct access to the aircraft and formalities handled apart.
- Alternates close at hand, the advantage of a country at the meeting point of three borders: Metz-Nancy-Lorraine and Saarbrücken are about an hour by road, Liège and Brussels widen the choice to the north-west.
