With eight passengers, a midsize such as the Citation XLS is charged from €4,800 per hour; with ten, a heavy jet such as the Falcon 2000, from €6,500 per hour. Each price applies to the aircraft shown. These figures include the aircraft, crew, fuel, ground handling and navigation fees, before taxes and options. Flight times are indicative and depend on the aircraft, the load and the winds. Empty legs, frequent between Bangkok, Phuket and Samui in high season, go for 30 to 60 % of the rate, provided you follow the aircraft's schedule.

Don Mueang, Bangkok's business aviation airport

• Don Mueang (DMK / VTBD), about 26 km north of the centre, open 24 hours, with two parallel runways of 3,500 and 3,700 metres and Thailand's only dedicated private terminal, where immigration and customs are cleared on the spot. Every aircraft lands there, from a light jet to a Gulfstream G650 arriving from Europe or the US West Coast.
• Suvarnabhumi (BKK / VTBS), about 30 km east, the country's main commercial hub with three runways of 3,700 to 4,000 metres. We use it for a connection with an airline flight, rarely for a complete private flight.
• Upcountry, the runway decides. U-Tapao (3,505 m, the gateway to Pattaya), Phuket and Krabi (about 3,000 m) take every category. Koh Samui, Hua Hin and Sukhothai are capped at 2,100 m, which suits light and midsize jets; Samui closes at 22:00 and Sukhothai at 20:00. Trat, at 1,800 m, remains open to light jets.
• No runway, then the seaplane. Siam Seaplane, certified by the Thai authority in October 2024, operates an amphibious Cessna Grand Caravan EX; the first landing sites authorised in 2026 are on the Andaman Sea, around Phuket and Krabi.

Two formalities apply on arrival, whatever the airport. The Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC), mandatory since 1 May 2025 for every foreign traveller, is completed online before the flight. And from 15 September 2026, the 60-day visa exemption gives way to a two-tier regime published in the Royal Thai Government Gazette on 31 August 2026: 30 days for 60 countries and territories, including the United States, the United Kingdom, France and Germany. Which aircraft for which sector

Phuket, Samui, Chiang Mai or Singapore, one to two and a half hours in the air, work on a light jet, the Phenom 300 for six to eight passengers or the PC-24 where the runway is short, or on a midsize such as the Citation XLS with more luggage. Hong Kong and Tokyo call for a super midsize or a heavy jet: in Tokyo, Haneda caps general aviation at sixteen slots a day, with 24 hours' notice and parking limited to four nights, while Narita stays more flexible.

Geneva, Paris or London are reached non-stop on an ultra long range aircraft, Global 7500, Gulfstream G650 or Falcon 8X, in eleven to twelve hours. For a Thai passport, the visa sets the departure date before the aircraft does: the Schengen area requires a short-stay visa and the United Kingdom a Standard Visitor visa, Thailand not being eligible for the UK electronic travel authorisation.
